Now that Avengers: Infinity War is almost here, it seems like directors Joe and Anthony Russo (aka The Russo Brothers) have some time for light-hearted fun — like sharing a fan-made Logan parody poster based on new Avengers trailer footage.

When the latest Infinity War trailer dropped last week, fans (including us) were dissecting every moment of the trailer for any hints or new information we could glean. One particular shot in the trailer drew the attention of fans. We already knew the Big Bad for the Avengers this time around would be Thanos. It's been building for a few years now, and in the Guardians of the Galaxy films, Gamora has been semi-open about her relationship with Thanos.

But in the latest trailer, we finally see Thanos and Gamora together, walking hand in hand when Gamora was just a child.

Is this a tender moment before Thanos turns Gamora into a fighter? Is he taking her by force? It's hard to tell from one image but the moment did inspire a fan poster of Thanos holding Gamora's small hand — and The Russo Brothers shared it on Facebook.

Pretty cool right? The poster is an obvious reference to the stunning poster for Logan last year, which featured Wolverine holding the small hand of X-23. In case you don't remember, here it is:

LOGAN

Here's a minimalist approach that totally works for the grim themes of James Mangold's upcoming Wolverine movie based on the Old Man Logan comic storyline.  A scarred hand holds the key to a young X-23's destiny.

Now obviously, Wolverine is no Thanos. The main difference being that Logan actually wanted to help X-23 while Thanos used his relationship with Gamora to manipulate her and force her to fight her sister. But it's still an interesting comparison to see how two powerful men used their influence on those who depended on them.

How do you think Gamora and Thanos' past relationship will factor into Avengers: Infinity War

Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters April 27.
