Paramount Pictures has unleashed the first two trailers (a domestic and international one) as well as a poster for its upcoming new horror movie, Rings.
Directed by F. Javier Gutierrez, Rings is a sequel to director Gore Verbinski’s 2002 The Ring and The Ring Two (the sequel was helmed by Hideo Nakata), which starred Naomi Watts. The script was penned by David Loucka and Jacob Estes and Akiva Goldsman
The movie sees the return of Samara, the vengeful spirit from the previous two films, who’s now using online videos to spread her curse instead of those good ol' VHS tapes. You know what they say, out with the old, in with the new. Rings stars Matilda Lutz, Alex Roe, Johnny Galecki, Aimee Teegarden, Bonnie Morgan and Vincent D’Onofrio
A new chapter in the beloved RING horror franchise. A young woman becomes worried about her boyfriend when he explores a dark subculture surrounding a mysterious videotape said to kill the watcher seven days after he has viewed it. She sacrifices herself to save her boyfriend and in doing so makes a horrifying discovery: there is a “movie within the movie” that no one has ever seen before…
Rings will open in movie theaters right on time for some Halloween scares on Oct. 28. Check out the two trailers and new poster below, and let us know what you guys think.
