William Shatner—the former Star Trek captain who has found a nice self-parodying niche on NBC's The Tonight Show lampooning the ramblings of Sarah Palin and her former future son-in-law Levi Johnston—found himself on the other side of the lampoon Friday night when Palin showed up unexpectedly in the video below.
As "master thespian" Shatner began one of his by-now familiar dramatic readings from Palin's new book Going Rogue, the former Alaska governor and GOP vice-presidential candidate made a surprise appearance on Conan O'Brien's show to turn the tables on Shatner by reading from his biography.
A sample: "What made T.J. Hooker's character so interesting was he remembered the old rule of law enforcement. 'Of course I understand you robbed that bank because you have no self-esteem. Boom! Taste my nightstick.'"
Then they walked off the stage arm in arm. Can you say Palin/Shatner in 2012?
