Snyder: Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman is the 'gateway drug' to Justice League

If you've been wondering exactly what Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman would be doing in next year's Batman v Superman flick, we have our answer. As expected, she's blowing the Man of Steel-verse wide open.

Director Zack Snyder chatted with Entertainment Weekly about how Wonder Woman fits into the upcoming DC sequel Batman v Superman (which will likely demolish the box office on name recognition alone) and revealed she'll essentially be the doorway to a larger world that'll be explored in the follow-up Justice League film. 

Of course, this being Zack Snyder, it's translated into Snyder-ese. Check out an excerpt from his quote below:

"She plays a super-important part. In a lot of ways, she's the gateway drug to the rest of the Justice League … There are so many expectations for this character, it's impossible not to be a little nervous about it."

Considering Wonder Woman is easily the biggest hero yet to get a shot at modern-day big-screen glory, it makes sense Snyder would use her as the catalyst to create a wider world of superheroes. Plus, you know, she's bordering on Superman-level powers — so she's obviously a massive creative addition to this hyper-real world.

Though Batfleck and SuperCavill are taking up most of the marquee, it sounds like Wonder Woman could have the biggest long-term impact of all. What do you think? How would you like to see Snyder handle the character?
