Tomorrow the nominees for the 2013 Academy Awards will be announced, and we'll celebrate the best of cinema in 2012. But today's the day to celebrate the worst in cinema last year with the announcement of the 2013 Razzie Awards nominees. So which sci-fi flicks got the, ahem, "honor" of a nomination (or 10)? You can probably guess.

Leading the pack is The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2, which picked up 11 nominations in 10 categories, including Worst Picture, Worst Director, Worst Screenplay and Worst Actress for Kristen Stewart. Along the way, the flick also managed to make a bit of Razzie history.

"In addition to being up for Worst Picture and earning nominations for all 3 of its principal 'actors,' it is also the first film ever to get dual Worst Screen Couple RAZZIE® nods, one for Edward & Bella and one for Jason & the child Renesmee (who share an onscreen relationship fraught with inappropriate overtones)," the Razzie committee said in its press release announcing the nominees.

Also raking in quite a few nods was the famously unsuccessful sci-fi flick Battleship, which picked up seven nominations, including Worst Picture, Worst Director, Worst Screenplay and Worst Screen Ensemble. Also getting some genre "love" were Wrath of the Titans, Total Recall, Resident Evil: Retribution, Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance and the fantasy-tinged Eddie Murphy vehicle A Thousand Words.
