Sony must have payed a pretty penny for The Amazing Spider-Man 2's Super Bowl spot. Unlike most ads, which ran for 30 or 45 seconds, Spider-Man clocked in at nearly four minutes. And it was well worth the cost. Exactly how many villains can you fit into a trailer?
As expected, the TV spot continued to tease the upcoming Sinister Six plotline. Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield) obviously has his hands full with Electro (Jamie Foxx), but he's just one part of a much bigger problem. His best friend Harry (Dane DeHaan) has unhealthy visions of grandeur thanks to his father Norman Osborn (Chris Cooper). There's also Rhino (Paul Giamatti), who spends a fair amount of time wreaking havoc on the streets.
Aside from Spider-Man's superhero troubles, there's also the impending doom circling his personal life. Once again, Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone) finds herself in the middle of the hero's latest battle. How will Peter Parker balance it all?
