The newest trailer for South Park: The Fractured But Whole, Ubisoft and the South Park team's take on superheroes, and more specifically superhero civil wars, dropped today as part of their E3 2017 showcase. In the trailer, we learn more about the story as "New Kid" -- that's you, the player, is sent to the Freedom Pals as an undercover double agent, and it doesn't look like that will go too well. There are real traitors, new powers and hilarious in-jokes for fans of every superheroic mega-franchise.

The game, originally due out, um, several times, now has the release date of October 17, 2017, for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. They're also still offering the first game in the series, South Park: The Stick of Truth, free with purchase of the game. If you haven't played that first one, it's an excellent turn-based RPG with all of South Park's signature flair and humor, and a good way to tide you over until you get your Fractured But Whole.

In addition, Ubisoft announced a new South Park mobile game called South Park: Phone Destroyer. The game, due out this year as well, is a real-time strategy and collectible card game built around the same basic premise, kids playing "vs" pretend games. If the name is taken at face value, it should utterly destroy your phone's battery, too. Huzzah! You can see that trailer here:
