Paramount's released a new trailer for next year's G.I. Joe: Retaliation, a film that was scheduled to hit theaters last summer but was pushed back due to reshoots and 3D conversion. Now they're setting the stage for a spring release. Cue the trailer!
On Yahoo, they premiered the trailer with a special introduction from Dwayne Johnson. The actor plays Roadblock in the film, and there's plenty of footage featuring him and original star Channing Tatum. This time Duke's surrounded by new characters, including Lady Jaye (Adrianne Palicki), Jinx (Elodie Yung) and Flint (D.J. Cotrona).
In the sequel, Cobra's taken over the White House and the president of the United States (Jonathan Pryce). They're using his authority to destroy countries at the push of a button. Judging by the trailer, they have access to a space satellite that's armed and dangerous.
Once the government turns on the Joes, they quickly realize they're on their own. A veteran member of the team, whose name is actually Joe (Bruce Willis), helps them retaliate against Cobra.
