The Ghost landed in Toronto Saturday morning, asStar Wars Rebels came to Toronto Fan Expo for a special early screening of the first two episodes of the new season (the first was previously shown atStar Wars Celebration Orlando in April) and a panel with executive producer Dave Filoni and stars Vanessa Marshall (Hera) and Taylor Gray (Ezra). The panelists came together to make some announcements and teases about Season 4, the final one of the series.

Season 4 will premiere on Disney XD Monday Oct. 16, 2017.

Aside from the premiere, the panelists gave some light teases of the new season and what the characters will be going through, as well as revealing some new images.

Being the final season, we'll see more growth from the youngest members of the Rebels crew, Sabine and Ezra, who Filoni said "will have to do more on their own this season" and "learn to deal without the help of 'mom and dad,'" referring to the family dynamic of Hera and Kanan looking after the other crew members.

The return to Mandalore will be huge for Sabine, who will be able to learn a lot from Bo-Katan, the warrior we met in Star Wars: The Clone Wars voiced by Katee Sackhoff ofBattlestar Galactica fame. We'll get some insight from her about Maul's time as ruler of Mandalore and the death of her sister Satine, giving some closure to their story.

Thrawn will be backas the "big bad" of the season once more to harangue the now officially formed Rebel Alliance. But the Rebels aren't the only ones he'll have to contend with, as he's also "fighting with the Empire about how to fight this war," Filoni said. We'll see this clash especially between Grand Admiral Thrawn and Governor Pryce, who represents the Empire's interests.

X-wings are finally making it onto the show, and Hera will be piloting one, something Vanessa Marshall said made her choke up when she saw it.

There's been a lot of speculation about the wolf we've seen in early trailers, and it is a Lothal wolf, connected to the Force on Lothal through nature, something Gray loves about the very concept of it all.

The end ofStar Wars Rebels has already been shot, and we'll see a lot of deep connections betweenRebels and the Original Trilogy before it's all over, Filoni teased. The first four episodes will wrap up some lingering stories, then from episode 5 on it will be about wrapping up the story of Ezra Bridger.

With that, a new trailer was shown that will be online later. See you Oct. 16,Star Wars Rebels fans!
