The Honest Trailers team has set its sights on Return of the Jedi, and they absolutely went there on the controversial original trilogy installment. Perfect timing, considering Star Wars: Episode VIII: The Last Jedi is hitting theaters this week.

Screen Junkies' Honest Trailers doesn't hold back on Return of the Jedi. Who could forget how they froze Han Solo because Harrison Ford was done with Star Wars? It also serves as a good reminder of how you actually spent money for the Return of the Jedi Special Edition, simply for the bad CG and callbacks to the prequels. Oh, and who could forget the Yub Nub song during the Ewok celebration?

The recap calls Return of the Jedi "a movie that joins The Godfather 3, Terminator 3, and Spider-Man 3 in the tradition of meh third installments. That turned an epic about the fate of the galaxy into the Skywalker family drama, cemented the kid-friendly tone of the franchise, and set up Star Wars' long-running love affair with the plot of a New Hope."

The new Honest Trailer is the best thing to fixate on after you've removed the Facebook and Twitter apps from your phone to avoid The Last Jedi spoilers.

Are you outraged by this glaring evidence supporting this Star Wars installment might be the most inferior of the crew? Let's talk about why Honest Trailers got it wrong, because this is the only place on the internet that hasn't spoiled The Last Jedi yet.
