Penetrating new Pennywise pic and poster for Stephen King's It

With no other major geek movies left until next month, my sights are firmly set on Sept. 8 when Andy Muschietti's chilling adaptation of Stephen King's It possesses theaters.

Sony's marketing campaign for the highly-anticipated horror film has been a perfect blend of atmospheric terror trailers and well-timed unveilings of new images.

Just when you're content to not see any more until premiere day, here's a couple of new Pennywise portraits, including one from the latest issue of Empire Magazine with the unholy entity leering from inside the vaulted ceilings of a hallowed house of worship.

From what we've been privy to so far, Bill Skarsgard's (Hemlock Grove) interpretation of the demonic dancing clown from King's 1986 novel may come close to or even eclipse Tim Curry's portrayal in the 1990 TV mini-series.

Have a look if you dare, and tell us if your coulrophobia is rearing its ugly head!
