The second season of Stranger Things is right around the corner (and so are Halloween and candy), and to whet our appetite for a return visit to the town of Hawkins, Indiana, Netflix has dropped a new clip featuring a highly anticipated reunion. Well, sorta.
The sneak peek sees young Season 1 hero Mike Wheeler (Finn Wolfhard) being interrogated by a bunch of serious-looking folks dressed in suits (who are either detectives, agents, or Hawkins National Laboratory security) about a missing Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown). Mike doesn't say squat about her, of course, because he ain't no snitch.
But then Mike notices Eleven standing outside the window. Question is, is she really back? Is he seeing a psychic reflection of her? Or is it only wishful thinking on his part? Since we know Eleven escapes the Upside Down, maybe what he's seeing is the real deal.
Netflix has also released a bunch of promos titled “Hawkins Monitored,” which includes video camera surveillance-style footage from Season 2. There don't seem to be any major reveals, but it's not a bad way to get prepped for the show's return.
Starring David Harbour, Winona Ryder, Noah Schnapp, Joe Keery, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Sadie Sink, Dacre Montgomery, Paul Reiser, and Sean Astin, Stranger Things will unfold Oct. 27 on Netflix.
