We all know Stranger Things is a love letter from the Duffer Brothers (who have a four-season plan) to the 1980s; and while we wait with bated breath for the second season to premiere this Halloween, someone has taken this to the next level by mashing up scenes from the show with scenes from a bunch of 1980s horror films, resulting in a pretty awesome trailer spoof.

YouTuber Josh Nitsche has created a nearly three-minute mash-up trailer of the hit Netflix series by incorporating some of the greatest horror icons of the 1980s (as well as more modern ones) seamlessly into footage from the show.

Titled Slasher Things, it includes, among others (I may forget one or two, so bear with me): Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th, Freddy Krueger from A Nightmare on Elm Street, Michael Meyers from the Halloween movies, Pinhead from the Hellraiser franchise, Pumpkinhead, Billy the Puppet and Jigsaw from Saw, Pennywise the Clown from the 1990 IT miniseries (not the movie), Chucky, Tall Man from the Phantasm films, Ash from the Evil Dead franchise, Ghostface from Scream, and even Julian Sands’ Warlock.

Dude also included music from Michael Jackson’s “Thriller,” just like the San Diego Comic-Con trailer, with Vincent Price narrating. It all starts with the Stranger Things kids playing an arcade video game of Friday the 13th, and it all goes to hell from there, starting with a game-over message that says: “You and all your friends are dead.” Have a look:

Stranger Things Season 2 will arrive on Netlix on October 27.
