When Supergirl returns next Monday, Reign (Odette Annable) will be continuing her deadly rampage in National City. Meanwhile, Kara (Melissa Benoist) finds herself trapped in some sort of a “mind prison” in the wake of her showdown with the World Killer during the dramatic midseason finale.

In order to help her wake up from her dreamlike state, the Girl of Steel will be getting some much-needed help in the form of the Legion of Super-Heroes’ Brainiac-5 (Jesse Rath).

The CW has released an extended trailer for next week’s new installment, aptly titled “Legion of Super-Heroes,” which will see Mon-El (Chris Wood), Saturn Girl (Amy Jackson), and Brainiac-5 (who is making his debut in this episode) suit up in their Legion garb (is Mon-El now Valor?) and put on those Legion rings in order to help the DEO with their major Reign problem. Brainiac-5 will also be pulling double duty as he’s recruited by Mon-El to help Kara wake up, and from what can be seen in the trailer, it looks like it’s going to make for an interesting arc.

Running at over a minute long, the newest Supergirl trailer is a much longer version of the short promo we saw last week, including more of Reign, Supergirl, the DEO and Brainiac-5. Will Kara wake up in time for her to lend a helping hand against Reign despite having lost the fight last time? Having several heroes team up against the powerful Season 3 baddie should help even the scale, right?

Supergirl returns Jan. 15 at 8 p.m. on The CW.
