Syfy is adding another cast member to its new paranormal drama Ghost Wars.

According to Deadline, Battlestar Galactica alum Kandyse McClure is joining in on the Ghost Wars shenanigans as a series regular. She’ll be starring alongside Vincent D’Onofrio (Daredevil), Kim Coates (Resident Evil: Afterlife), Avan Jogia, Kristin Lehman and Meat Loaf for the 10-episode series created by Simon Barry (Continuum, Van Helsing), who’ll also serve as showrunner.

McClure will play a character named Landis Barker, who is described as “a scientist who works at a facility in the town where strange occurrences start happening.” Here's the premise for the new series:

Ghost Wars is set in a remote Alaskan town that has been overrun by paranormal forces. The series focuses on local outcast Roman Mercer (Avan Jogia) who must overcome the town’s prejudices and his own personal demons if he’s to harness his repressed psychic powers and save everyone from the mass haunting that’s threatening to destroy them all.

Currently filming in Vancouver, Ghost Wars is set to air in the U.S. on Syfy and internationally on Netflix sometime in late 2017. The pilot will be directed by David Von Ancken (Hell on Wheels), with Leslie Hope, Michael Nankin, Mathias Herdndl, Jason Priestley and Simon Barry also helming some episodes.
