Everyone has their favorite time lord in the fifty-five year legacy of Doctor Who, and whether it's David Tennant, Tom Baker, Matt Smith, Peter Capaldi, or the new first female Doctor, Jodie Whittaker, there's a gallant Gallifreyan to fit any geek's tastes.
One of the oft-forgotten or overlooked Doctors is Sylvester McCoy's alien time-traveler, the Seventh Doctor, who saw action during the 1987-89 seasons and was a vital component of the franchise's tie-in novels and comic strips before regenerating in 1996.
Clad in his trademark panama hat, plaid pants, paisley necktie, and question mark umbrella, McCoy has a loyal following who all dig this time lord's quirky style and dark demeanor. The animated Scottish actor was the final Doctor of the original series before it was cancelled due to waning audience interest.
Titan Comics is resurrecting this eccentric, manipulative character in a new comic series by veteran Who writers Andrew Cartmel and Ben Aaronovitch, with art by Christopher Jones, and it's destined to catapult you back into the radical era of the Eighties this June.
