MTV's Teen Wolf may have wrapped its six season run last night, but it didn’t take long for the show’s main star to land another horror TV gig. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Tyler Posey has joined the cast of MTV’s Scream for the show’s rebooted third season as a series regular.
So who will Posey play? The actor (who will be seen on The CW’s Jane the Virgin this season as Jane’s first love, Adam) has been cast as Shane, a high school dropout who makes a living as a drug dealer and party promoter who’s “always hustling in order to make money.” Apparently, there’s more to the character than meets the eye underneath that exterior. Could he turn out to be the man behind the original Ghostface mask?
Posey joins a cast that currently includes Keke Palmer (Scream Queens), RJ Cyler (Power Rangers), Jessica Sula (Split), Giorgia Whigham (Son of Zorn), Giullian Yao Gioiello (Julie’s Green Room), Tyga (Dope) and C.J. Wallace (Everything Must Go).
The six-episode third season is slated to air in March 2018 with a special three-night event. Filming is underway now in Atlanta under new showrunner Brett Matthews (The Vampire Diaries).
