If you ask Tessa Thompson about how she thinks Phase 4 of Marvel's film slate is looking, she thinks the future of the MCU looks pretty female, indeed.

Thompson recently sat down with Entertainment Tonight and shared her thoughts on Marvel's ongoing expansion of its roster of female characters.

“I think what we’re seeing, regardless of a Lady Liberators or an A-Force movie or, y'know, a female ensemble Marvel movie, is that in Phase 4, women rule supreme," the actress said. "And we're seeing a Black Widow movie in the works, which I hear about and is so exciting, and Captain Marvel with Brie Larson and DeWanda Wise. So, we are seeing that women are at the forefront of these stories and, of course, with Black Panther... those incredible warrior women in that film.”

Also, while there's nothing in the works for her character, as far as we know, Thompson also has some ideas for Valkyrie, which sound pretty awesome.

"I think it'd be fun to see her on Earth... to see her in more unexpected team-ups because she has... such a brash, particular personality."

And when asked which character she'd most like to see Valkyrie team up with, Thompson clearly had someone in mind. "I mean, Okoye's pretty cool," she said, name-checking Danai Gurira's scene-stealing warrior from Black Panther. "Valkyrie would just be like sis. My long lost sis."

She'd also like to see Black Widow in the mix. "Or the three of us could just go for lunch," Thompson quipped.
