With the new season of The Flash now less than a month away, The CW released a new interview with executive producers Todd Helbing and Andrew Kreisberg, looking back on the last season, and teasing Season 4.

Kreisberg praised star Grant Gustin, noting that he doesn't get "enough credit" for his talent, as he played Barry, Broken Future Barry, Villain Barry, and even Musical Barry. "Fortunately we only had to pay him once," he joked.

Of course, the end of Season 3 saw Barry locked away in the Speed Force prison, and as we've learned from other interviews, months will have passed at the start of Season 4. But don't worry, he won't be gone for long.

"It's obviously no great surprise that The Flash will continue to be a part of the TV show called The Flash! But the circumstances of his return, and what he's like when he comes back from this experiences is part of the fun and surprise of the season premiere," Kreisberg promised. He also realizes they went very dark in Season 3. "This year we really wanted to pivot into fun and brightness; the title of the premiere is 'The Flash Reborn,' and for us it's a little bit of a restart, diving into more comedy, more fun, more brightness, and more excitement."

In other teases, we'll get more Gypse and Cisco action, with a specific hint to look forward to the fourth episode of the year. And Killer Frost and Caitlin Snow will both be served.

Finally, Team Flash will not fight a speedster villain this year, instead going up against The Thinker as the big bad; "The world's fastest man versus the world's fastest mind" is how they're looking at it.
