Until today, all we'd really seen of Stranger Things Season 2 was a thrilling-but-short Super Bowl spot and a few Facebook teasers, all leading to anticipation that a full trailer would finally arrive at San Diego Comic-Con. Well, the Season 2 trailer did indeed finally land during the show's Hall H panel, and it was worth the wait.
We still don't know much about what's happening to the residents of Hawkins, Indiana in the wake of Season 1, but it's very clear that Will Byers (Noah Schnapp) is still in trouble. The Upside Down isn't finished with him, he's going for tests, and he seems to be having visions of a world completely overtaken by the monsters he glimpsed on the other side.
Meanwhile Mike (Finn Wolfhard) is still thinking about Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), where she might be, and if there's any chance of her return. The good news for the gang is that Joyce (Winona Ryder) and Hopper (David Harbour) are still definitely here to help, still plugged into the mystery, and still ready to hunt monsters.
Plus, the whole joint is set to Vincent Price's iconic narration from Michael Jackson's "Thriller," providing more of the '80s goodness we so love. Also arcade fun, Steve partying, Dustin being awesome, a very scary Ghostbusters trap, and what looks like Eleven's return to our world.
Check out the teaser below and get ready for Stranger Things Season 2 to arrive on Netflix October 27.
