Two of the FBI’s youngest (and most adorable) agents will be back in Season 11 of The X-Files, as Robbie Amell and Lauren Ambrose have signed on for another stint in Fox’s revival series.
TV Line reports Amell (The Flash) and Ambrose’s (Six Feet Under) Agents Miller and Einstein will be back, though we don’t know how many episodes they’ll factor into at this point. The characters were introduced in last season’s revival, and the duo bare a rather striking resemblance to the dynamic between Mulder and Scully (with Miller the believer, and Einstein the skeptic). The characters were a lot of fun, and it stands to reason most fans should welcome them back.
There were rumblings this duo could potentially anchor an X-Files spinoff series a while back, and though we should obviously take that with a grain of salt, it’s certainly interesting to see creator Chris Carter bringing them back for the new, 10-episode run. But, who knows? Could Carter be testing the water for The X-Files 2.0?
The new season of The X-Files premieres in early 2018.
Are you glad Amell and Ambrose will be back for more freaky cases?
