Russell Crowe has weighed in at last on all those rumors about him starring in the upcoming remake of RoboCop.
It was just last week that word began circulating on the intertubes that Crowe was in the mix to possibly star as Officer Alex Murphy in the long-in-development new version of RoboCop. But now Crowe himself has addressed the reports, and his answer looks pretty definitive to us:
Well, that's a disappointment, since Crowe would probably make an awesome Murphy. The good news is that we'll still see him as Jor-El in Zack Snyder's Man of Steel next year, and he did acknowledge that he may play the title role in director Darren Aronofsky's epic retelling of the story of Noah.
Meanwhile, RoboCop director Jose Padilha is still on the hunt for his Murphy. With Crowe out of the picture, who do you think should be the new RoboCop?
