This real-life haunted house tale, told entirely through Twitter, will totally freak you out

Twitter has become an excellent storytelling tool in its own right, and yes, it can also be used to ping some spine-tingling horror yarns. Case in point: This freaky tale of a haunted apartment.

Author Jay Kristoff took to Twitter in honor of Halloween to share an allegedly true story from early in his life, when he was broke and living in a cheap, old apartment with his girlfriend. Turns out, sometimes there’s a reason the place is vacant and affordable. It’s haunted. Kristoff is the new York Times best-selling author author of Godsgrave, and The Nevernight Chronicle.

But, he’s also the author of this scary story. Which does feature a bit of NSFW language, so fair warning.
