Who doesn't love Superman? We can all get behind the idea of buying a few comic books, maybe some action figures, to show admiration for the Man of Steel, but some people go much, much further. Take this man, who loves Superman so much, he went under the knife in an effort to look like him.
Herbert Chavez is a man from the Philippines with a serious Superman addiction. In this news report (which we'd embed if we could, but you'll have to click through), we get a tour of his memorabilia-packed home, and then hear the story of how he almost completely altered his appearance to look more like his hero.
The report is mostly not in English, but it doesn't have to be for you to get the picture. Just take a look at the before and after photos. Chavez's skin is much lighter, his cheekbones are higher, his chin is cleft. He's even got the trademark Superman curl across his forehead.
The question of whether or not he's nuts is of course raised, but as one of the newscasters at the end of the report notes, Chavez seems to be happy. Now we wait to see if he'll go through the trouble of constructing his very own Fortress of Solitude in the Arctic.
