TV THIS WEEK: Inhumans and Ghosted premiere, Last Man on Earth and Z Nation return

We finally get to take a trip to New Attilan this week, as Marvel’s latest TV series Inhumans makes its long-awaited network debut. Sadly, the critical response has been kind of scary bad. Lucky for us, there are also a few (supposed to be) scary shows hitting this week, too.

The extended, two-hour pilot of ABC’s Inhumans drops, introducing viewers to the live action Royal Family led by Black Bolt and Medusa. The show admittedly has its faults, but considering the buzz around the show, the pilot is certainly worth checking out for superhero fans. It does a capable job of introducing its story, and here’s hoping the story ramps up in the remaining episodes.

After Inhumans, this week also brings the season premieres for Fox’s Ghosted, SYFY’s Z Nation, and Fox’s The Exorcist. Z Nation is basically a zany, bloody take on the zombie apocalypse. It’s the anti-Walking Dead, in a good way. If you slept on The Exorcist last season, the show was actually pretty great. Season 2 is like a soft-reboot with a new case, so it’s the perfect time to jump on. Oh, and Last Man on Earth is one the funniest, most clever takes on the apocalypse ever conceived. So don’t miss it.

As for new episodes, there are also a lot of those: The third episode of Star Trek: Discovery drops on the CBS All Access streaming service, while we also get new installments of The Good Place, Channel Zero: No-End House, Gotham, Disney XD's hilarious DuckTales reboot and a whole lot more.

Check out our rundown below and set your DVR accordingly:
