As we head into the summer season, the schedule is packed with some interesting premieres that should help fill the gap as mainline shows take a break for the year — with one of the most interesting being a deep dive into James Cameron's world.

AMC is set to premiere James Cameron's Story of Science Fiction, which finds the legendary filmmaker looking at the state of the genre and how it connects to the real world around us. On USA, the alien occupation drama Colony is back for its third season, while CBS is set to debut a new season of its Sherlock Holmes adaptation Elementary. Fox is also dropping the season (series?) finale of the excellent Last Man on Earth.

Beyond that, The CW's remaining super-shows are all new as they head toward season finales (Arrow looks to be the highlight this week, led by a shocking character return), FX has a new Legion, AMC has a new Fear the Walking Dead, and HBO has a new Westworld.

At SYFY, the network is dropping new episodes of a few heavy hitters, with both Krypton and The Expanse offering up fresh hours on Wednesday.
