It’s a relatively light week, but there’s still some excellent sci-fi stuff to check out — you just have to dig a bit deeper to find it. And get past all the excellent college football premiering this weekend, too.

The CW is airing its Vixen animated series as a TV movie, and if you haven't had a chance to watch it online, it's well worth checking out now. It's a fun story set within the Arrowverse (complete with a few familiar voices and heroes along the way).

The big story on SYFY this week is that the season finale of Killjoys as all-out war comes to the Quad. And if you like your genre fare a bit on the more cerebral side, Showtime's Twin Peaks revival also comes to an end this weekend.

If you're looking to catch up on some great movies, we also have you covered. Kick-Ass 2, Chappie, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Tucker and Dale vs. Evil, 2001: A Space Odyssey and a few more fantastic sci-fi flicks will all be popping up on basic cable this week. So remember to set your DVR and bank some goodies for the doldrums while we wait for fall.

Check out our full rundown below and let us know what you’ll be watching.
