The CW’s full slate of superhero shows are all new this week, and they’re packing more than a few great DC additions. James Olsen’s version of the Guardian is poised to make his debut on Supergirl, while Vigilante will show up for the first time on Arrow. Over on Legends of Tomorrow, the gang will be heading back in time to hang out with Jonah Hex again. Moving to Flash, we’ll finally get some development on Wally’s journey to become Kid Flash.

This week also brings the season premiere of MTV’s hit series Teen Wolf, along with the season finale of FX’s Salem-focused run of American Horror Story and the finale of Syfy's super-creepy Channel Zero: Candle Cove. Heading into the weekend, we’ll have fresh Walking Dead and Westworld to dig into, plus a re-created version of the long-lost 1960s Doctor Who episode "The Power of Daleks."

Stalker (1979)

Andrei Tarkovsky further explores the themes of loss and desire he mulled over in Solaris with this unsettling film written by Boris and Arkady Strugatsky, loosely based on their 1971 novel, Roadside Picnic. Alexander Kaidanovsky stars as the Stalker, a guide who leads people through an area called 'the Zone,' a place where the law of physics don't apply, en route to 'the Room,' which is said to grant the wishes of anyone who steps inside. The Stalker's latest clients are the Writer (Anatoly Solonitsyn) and the Professor (Nikolai Grinko), the latter of whom has unclear motives as to why he seeks the powers of the Room. Eerily enough, seven years after the release of Stalker, the Chernobyl disaster led to the depopulation of a surrounding area (called the "Zone of Alienation") much like that in the film, with some of those assigned to take care of the abandoned nuclear power plant calling themselves "stalkers."

Ash vs Evil Dead 2x08 Promo "Ashy Slashy" (HD) Season 2 Episode 8

Beak

Power: Has a beak, heightened sense, and can clumsily fly, a little bit

Beak is proof that there is a difference between "genetically superpowered" and simply "genetically disabled." But apparently, that line is too blurry for the X-Men to exclude this character, whose most significant plotline is having babies with a fly-mutant. Why Magneto went out of his way to recruit Beak into the Brotherhood of Mutants defies understanding, although he does wield a mean baseball bat.

The Librarians (TNT), Sunday, 9 p.m. - "And the Rise of the Chaos"

SEASON PREMIERE: The Librarians clash with the Egyptian God of Chaos, who inhabits a human body and intends to release pure evil into the world. The Librarians must decode a succession of clues at a science museum in order to thwart Chaos. The Season 3 premiere.

The Librarians Season 3 Trailer (HD)

Bling!

Power: Can create diamonds with her bone marrow

Bling!'s power allows her to shoot diamond shards, increased damage resistance, and...that's about it. That's almost as "creative" as her backstory (the daughter of two hip-hop artists). Given her abilities, Bling! is probably constantly afraid of being attacked by miners. Throw in the fact that she'd single-handedly put DeBeers out of business, and we often wonder why these plotlines were never explored.

The Walking Dead (AMC), Sunday 9 p.m. - "Go Getters"

Surrounded by enemies and saddled with grief, members of the group hope to find safety at the Hilltop before it's too late.

The Walking Dead Season 7 Episode 5 "Go Getters" Promo (HD)

Bonebreaker

Power: Legs replaced by tank treads

Bionic implants have made this cyborg pretty strong and fast, but the true freakiness is that his legs have been turned into a tank. So, he's pretty much like a regular tank except his torso isn't protected. Bonebreaker can also remove his torso from the chassis connected to his legs, which is great, because every X-Men could benefit from a complete lack of mobility.

Westworld (HBO), Sunday, 9 p.m. - "Trace Decay"

Teddy is disturbed by painful memories; Maeve hopes for a change in her script; Dolores has trouble separating her dreams from reality; Bernard is ordered to return to business as usual; the Man in Black looks to the past to explain the present.

Westworld 1x08 Promo "Trace Decay" (HD)

Choir

Power: Mouths on her neck

Three mouths on her neck allow her to throw her voice, and presumably sing "Row, Row, Row Your Boat" as a round. We're kind of confused as to what the purpose of her normal "face-mouth" is: When she eats with it, does the food just fall out of her neck mouths? Whatever the case may be, her dental bills must be four times as high as normal, and flossing probably takes all night.

The Last Man on Earth (Fox), Sunday, 9:30 p.m. - "Mama's Hideaway"

A family photo shoot becomes Carol's obsession. Meanwhile, Lewis finds a new hobby; Melissa goes on a mission; and Gail stumbles into a frightening predicament.

The Last Man on Earth 3x07 Promo "Mama's Hideaway" (HD)

Eye-Scream

Power: Can turn into ice cream

Not just ice cream, ANY flavor of ice cream he so desires! We're not sure of his origin, but we imagine it had something to do with a wish being misinterpreted by a genie. Surely a hit on hot summer days and at children's birthday parties, Eye-Scream failed in his one attempt to take out the X-Men, but we're sure always having access to delicious, delicious ice cream served as some small consolation.

Elementary (CBS), Sunday, 10:30 p.m. - "Bang Bang Shoot Chute"

Holmes and Watson search for two murderers after a base jumper is shot out of the sky by one killer and has his parachute sabotaged by another. Meanwhile, Joan takes drastic measures to ensure that Shinwell isn't drawn back into a life of crime after her sister sees him with a member of his old gang.

Elementary 5x07 Promo "Bang Bang Shoot Chute" - Season 5 Episode 7 Promo | The Promo World

Jubilee

Power: Fireworks

First of all, Jubilation "Jubilee" Lee has one of the most punny names we've ever seen. Her ability to put on fireworks and light shows was so bad, the writers eventually decided to have her get bit by, and then become, a vampire. In fact, no one's quite been able to figure out what to do with Jubilee, leading to a ton of character and costume changes. Meanwhile, the fireworks industry remains cagily silent.
