The guy who voiced Obi-Wan Kenobi is doing a Star Wars: Clone Wars talk show

Despite the joy that Star Wars Rebels gives us, many fans still embrace the gone-but-not-forgotten Star Wars: The Clone Wars. So does James Arnold Taylor, the voice of Obi-Wan Kenobi. Now Taylor is giving us a deeper look at the animated 2008-2014 show, thanks to his new web series, Clone Wars Conversations.

In this series, Taylor will be chatting with his former cast mates about their experiences on the show. Taylor promises behind-the-scenes details, plus insights into the process of the voice actors.

In the first episode, Taylor talks with Anna Graves, who played, among other characters, the Duchess Satine Kryze. Through their conversation, we get tidbits about the late Clone Wars voice actor Ian Abercrombie's many colorful socks, as well as the differences between Graves’ several characters.

But since Taylor is also a fan, he knows what we really want: a reunion between Obi-Wan and Duchess Satine. He gives it to us in the squee-worthy form of a reading from Romeo and Juliet, done in their characters’ voices. It’s the balcony scene. When I listened to it, I was all a-quiver.

This has the potential to be a fun series, and I know from seeing Taylor at Disneyworld’s Star Wars Weekend that he has an eye (and ear) for entertainment. I’m looking forward to subsequent episodes. Check it out.
