You know all the fuss about Universal dropping Snow White from their upcoming Snow White and the Huntsman sequel? False! Turns out original star Kristen Stewart (Twilight) is most definitely still in the mix to come back for part two with co-star Chris Hemsworth (Thor).
Snow White and the Huntsman netted about $400 million worldwide, making it a modest success, so it makes sense that the studio wants to ramp up with a sequel. But they just can't figure out which character to follow this time around.
Apparently they're still deciding, and Universal co-chairman Donna Langley didn't mince words when taking aim at the original report to the contrary from The Hollywood Reporter:
"We are extremely proud of Snow White And The Huntsman and we're currently exploring all options to continue the franchise. Any reports that Kristen Stewart has been dropped are false."
With Hemsworth's stock rising in the wake of Avengers mania, he obviously looks like a safe bet, but the studio apparently believes Stewart's star is also worth holding onto.
What do you think? Who would you prefer to see in a sequel?
