The Maze Runner franchise is actually pretty good, and now it's added one heck of a talented actor for the final installment.

Deadline reports Walton Goggins (The Shield, Justified) has signed on for Maze Runner: The Death Cure, playing the character Lawrence. He’s described as “an unusual and dangerous character who is part-revolutionary, part-anarchist, and a voice for the voiceless people.” if you’ve ever seen Goggins' turn as Boyd Crowder on Justified, it sounds right up his alley.

The film is based on James Dashner’s third novel, and follows the young heroes as they try to find the cure for the “Flare” virus that has turned the Earth into a zombie-filled wasteland. Unlike pretty much every other young-adult sci-fi franchise, this one is wrapping up its final book in one film, so it should be action-packed and hold nothing back.

As for Goggins, you can next see him in the big screen Tomb Raider reboot alongside Alicia Vikander, and in Season 2 of HBO’s hilariously dark comedy Vice Principals this fall.
