After a brief hiatus, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is back with a brand-new episode tonight — and it’ll finally introduce Madame Hydra to the MCU. Well, kind of.

We caught up with star Mallory Jensen (aka Aida) and producer Jeffrey Bell to talk about the show’s return as Daisy and Simmons head into the virtual world of the Framework. So, who’s pulling the strings behind Hydra? None other than Jensen’s Aida, who has taken on the moniker of the classic Marvel comics villain Madame Hydra within the universe of the Framework. Just, you know, it's in the virtual world. But still — it’s Madame Hydra in live action, so we’ll take it.

Jensen talks a bit about putting her spin on the character, and Bell jokes about the costumes they rejected along the way once they decided to introduce Madame Hydra. Just go read the comics. Umm, yeah, some of those probably couldn’t make it onto network television. Along with introducing Madame Hydra, this arc will also see the return of Brett Dalton’s late Grant Ward (which comes with an excellent twist we won’t spoil).

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. airs Tuesday nights on ABC.
