Season 4 of Black Mirror is on its way and it is going to be totally unpredictable, a veritable grab bag of playfulness and darkness with technological underpinnings.
"We almost approach it like we're doing different genre movies," said producer Charlie Brooker on a season that will contain a space epic, a rom-com, a noir thriller, an indie drama, a punk single, and even a Treehouse of Horror-esque episode that will contain three stories (reminiscent of Stephen King) in one. "We've got a really weirdly diverse range of tones."
"Brace yourself," added Brooker's fellow producer Annabel Jones.
In addition to this eclectic collection of genres, the new season also brings in a ton of eclectic directing talent such as Jodie Foster (The Beaver, Money Monster), Tim Van Patten (The Sopranos, Boardwalk Empire, Game of Thrones), David Slade (Hannibal, American Gods), and John Hillcoat (The Road, Triple 9).
Watch Brooker gives us a short run-down of each Season 4 episode at New York Comic Con.
