Brian Michael Bendis (Alias, Daredevil, Ultimate Spider-Man) has had quite a week after news broke on his defection from Marvel after 17 years to sign an exclusive contract with DC Comics. Speculations on what sort of projects and characters he'll tackle in this new endeavor have spread like wildfire across the interweb and social media.

Bendis is "bursting with ideas and inspirations" and fans are eager to see what he conjures up at his new comic book home.

SYFY WIRE sat down recently with Bendis to discuss a number of topics, including how he brought Wolverine and Spider-Man into the Avengers. In the segment above, the man who helped create Marvel's Ultimate Universe chats about the delicate art of drawing caricatures at Bar Mitzvahs, Bat Mitzvahs, and weddings in the '90s to help pay the bills while creating his indie comic, Jinx.
