Watch: Comic book artist Ryan Ottley sketches Invincible

Contributed by

Invincible from Image Comics is one of the longest-running series on the stands. Mark Grayson and his fight against his violent and mustachioed Viltrumite heritage, as well as his adventures alongside Atom Eve, Allen the Alien, Robot, Rex Splode, and countless other colorful heroes has been thrilling readers for nearly 140 issues ... and will sadly be coming to an end early next year.

For some, Walking Dead writer Robert Kirkman might be the reason they check the book out ... but the reason they'll stay is for the art -- the hyper-kinetic, bold linework of longtime Invincible artist Ryan Ottley, who's been the artist for most of the series' impressive run. He's proven able to draw scenes of both extraordinary violence and compelling humanity with equal effectiveness, and SYFY WIRE was lucky enough to get him to do a sketch of the titular character for us.

Check out the video below to see Ottley work his magic and stay tuned to SYFY WIRE for more comic artist sketch videos.
