One of the many perks of attending a comic book convention — such as Emerald City Comic Con 2018, for example — is the complete and utter freedom to play dress-up. This is the perfect time for cosplayers everywhere to come out in droves, dressed as their favorite comic/video game/book/TV or movie characters.

SYFY WIRE’s Dany Roth was on hand at his year’s Seattle event, where he gave Con-goers Kelsey and Alex the chance to spend $180 in 180 minutes. We followed them around the convention floor by using our 180-degree video camera, meaning you should watch the video with your VR headset for the best viewing experience. (Note: The 180-degree functionality only works in the Chrome browser.)

No VR headset? No problem, since you can still tag along and watch as we go on a fun geeky shopping spree where our mighty adventure begins by stopping by the SuperHeroStuff.com boot.

The most important thing is to get a foundational garment, which Kelsey gets in the form of a Mandalorian bomber jacket. Next up: choosing a weapon. Will she pick a Keyblade? One of the Zelda swords? Or will she find something worthy of Thor's mighty hammer, Mjolnir? And of course, no cosplayer ensemble can be complete without an awesome pair of goggles and a cool wig.

Check out the impressive end results, then let us know what you'd spend 180 cosplay bucks on.
