There’s a new documentary looking back at the minds that kept things running behind the scenes of NASA’s most ambitious missions — and we have a clip from one of the most harrowing memories.

Dubbed Mission Control: The Unsung Heroes of Apollo, the doc looks back at the Apollo missions and gets the inside scoop on how things were running in the control room. From the sputtering starts of Mercury and Gemini, through the fire on Apollo 1 and the eventual moon landings, it’s all here. The feature includes interviews with folks like retired NASA Flight Directors Gene Kranz, Glynn Lunney and Gerry Griffin. Plus Flight Dynamics Officer Jerry Bostick, Flight Controller John Aaron, and astronauts Captain James Lovell, Charlie Duke and the late Gene Cernan.

The exclusive clip we have chronicles some communication issues that plagued the control room, and a sweeping fire on Apollo 1 that escalated quickly during mission planning.

Mission Control hits VOD and theaters on April 14.
