Some fans are concerned about the way the title villain looks in the first trailer for X-Men: Apocalypse, and one of them did something about it.
The first look at director Bryan Singer's upcoming movie gave us a glimpse of how Star Wars: The Force Awakens star Oscar Isaac will appear in his get-up as Apocalypse. While the results include quite a bit of his look from the comics -- a lot of blue -- there are apparently fans out there who feel that the best version so far of the ancient mutant known as En Sabah Nur was seen in the 1990s animated X-Men series shown on Fox.
So, a YouTube user named Phillysteak decided to cut a new trailer in which he or she uses the audio track from the live-action one, only fusing it to scenes from the animated show:
Surprisingly, it works pretty darn well, and the voices actually line up nicely to the movements of the animated characters' mouths. Of course, there are a few differences -- there are no actual horses for Apocalypse's "Four Horsemen" to ride through the air -- but otherwise, the trailer gets the job done.
Do you think the live-action Apocalypse will be able to capture the spirit of this greatest of X-Men enemies in the same way that the comics and animated series did? We'll find out on May 27, 2016.
