Sony’s streaming network Crackle has released the first trailer and a very cool poster for video game live-action adaptation Dead Rising: Endgame.
The movie is based on the hugely popular Capcom zombie survival video game series Dead Rising and is directed by Pat Williams (Continuum) from a screenplay penned by Michael Ferris (Terminator Salvation). The movie is produced by Legendary Digital Media and Sony Pictures Entertainment.
A sequel to 2015’s Dead Rising: Watchtower, the new movie stars Jesse Metcalfe (Desperate Housewives) Keegan Connor Tracy (Once Upon a Time, Bates Motel), Dennis Haysbert (Sin City: A Dame to Kill For), Marie Avgeropoulos (The 100), Billy Zane (Zoolander 2, Titanic), Patrick Sabongui (The Flash) and Jessica Harmon (iZombie).
Looks pretty cool. Here’s a movie synopsis:
DEAD RISING: ENDGAME drops us into the zombie-infested quarantined zone of East Mission City where investigative reporter Chase Carter (Jesse Metcalfe) must stop a secret government conspiracy which, though seemingly aimed at ending the country’s zombie epidemic, will also kill millions of innocent civilians.
Dead Rising: Endgame sees the return of Jesse Metcalf as Chase Carter, the TV journalist who goes back underground to stop the rogue operation led by the military and break the ultimate story. Keegan Connor Tracy is back as camera operator and producer, Jordan Blair. Dennis Haysbert returns as General Lyons, a crooked Military Intelligence Officer who attempts to thwart their plans. Patrick Sabongui (who was in Watchtower) is also back in a completely new role playing Garth, an expert zombie killer and video game enthusiast who like to talk a big and crude game in order to mask his gentle side. Awww.
Dead Rising: Endgame will begin streaming on Crackle June 20. Will this be a must-watch for you?
