This isn't your grandma's apocalypse. In the brand-new graphic novel Children of the Fall, coming from Arcana Comics this September, humanity has once again met their match. This time, though, they didn't come up against any supernatural forces.
As creator Wayne T. Young explained to SYFY WIRE at San Diego Comic-Con this weekend, "I feel like a lot of sci-fi stories, especially apocalyptic stories, the end of humanity is always ... it comes about because of something like AI or a zombie virus or aliens, or something like that, and I kinda looked at some of the issues that we're facing today, and I was like, 'I don't really know if we need any help getting there.'"
Young, who serves as writer, artist, colorist, and letterer on the book, also explained how his vision for the story was shaped by his time in Asia.
