Jared Leto admits he’s “a little confused” about all the Joker movies too

Why so serious, Jared?

Jared Leto gave his best poker-face on Wednesday when asked about the three different Joker movies that Warner Bros. currently have in development. But you could tell he wasn't exactly sure how to answer.

As you can see in the video below, when asked by a confused ODE interviewer whether or not he would be joining the Harley Quinn spin-off movie and reprising his Joker role from Suicide Squad, Leto responds “I think so,” before admitting that he’s also feeling a little befuddled by the other intended projects.

"I'm a little confused too, but yeah, there are a couple of things happening in the DC world, and I loved the Joker, he’s a great character, a really fun character to play," says Leto. "It’s a big universe and when you play the Joker, there’s no ownership there. You have the honor of holding the baton for a little while and then passing it off. But there are other films in development and I’m excited to see what comes from them."

The films he’s referring to are a Suicide Squad sequel, a Harley Quinn spin-off movie that focuses on her relationship with the Joker, and a Martin Scorsese-produced Joker origin story (outside of the DCEU) rumored to be starring Leonardo DiCaprio.

The reaction to Leo as the criminal mastermind hasn’t gone down too well with movie fans and, at this stage, it’s still very much a rumor. But judging by the look on Leto’s face when asked about the projects, it seems as though it really is anyone's guess as to what will happen.

Last month, Leto shut down rumors that he wouldn't be playing the character again, when asked about it on the Australian radio show Kyle and Jackie O.

"No, no, no, no, there's so much hype and so much bulls**t around that, I think it's just a fun thing to talk about," Leto said, refuting the idea. "Even when the movie [Suicide Squad] came out, there was so much misrepresentation about what went down, about the method acting crap. It's just, you know, 90 percent of it was not even true. It just takes on a life of its own."

Looks like we'll all have to wait and see what happens, but let us know below if you'd like to see Leto get another shot at the Joker.
