It’s hard to believe, but Marvel has been putting out funny books for a full 75 years. So what do a few of the company’s legends have to say about the legacy?
Famous geek and filmmaker Kevin Smith conducted an hour-long interview with geek god Stan Lee and Roy Thomas, who was Lee’s first successor as editor-in-chief at Marvel, as part of a recent Hammer Museum event at UCLA. As you’d expect, it’s awesome.
The interview lasts a full hour and finds Smith touching on a boatload of topics digging deep into the company’s history. Of course, this being Smith, he keeps the discussion going in a fun and lively way. Lee tells some great stories from the early days, and also contrasts that against the immense success the company has had in recent years on the big screen.
