Writer Brian K. Vaughn's (Y: The Last Man, Saga) Paper Girls is one of the sparkling gems of the comics world, packed with retro surprises and time-traveling tropes with a deliciously geeky twist.

The Eisner Award-winning Image Comics series spotlights four young girls — Erin, KJ, Tiffany, and Mac — who are out delivering newspapers on their bicycles Halloween night, 1988, when they're swept up in a series of mysterious events that deliver them on a sprawling, time-jumping odyssey to the Stone Age and the near-future world of 2016.

Artist Cliff Chiang (Wonder Woman) is having a blast bringing the rich characters in this empowering series to life, and he recently sat down with SYFY WIRE to reveal some of the secrets to drawing one of the richest, Tiffany, including the importance of what she's wearing, and of stylizing the drawing to make it more interesting for readers.

Have a seat and watch Chiang craft one of the ever-resourceful Paper Girls, then tell us if you're digging this awesome nostalgic series from Image.
