Not all superheroes wear capes. In fact, some have backpacks on.

That was the case for a cheerful Spider-Man cosplayer who brought some much-needed joy to a few of the children affected by the disastrous Hurricane Harvey.

In a heartwarming video posted on Twitter by Stef Manisero of Spectrum News in Austin, Spidey is seen entertaining a group of kids, giving them high-fives as they play with toys and lifting their spirits along the way.

“Your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man making kids smile at the GRB,” captioned Manisero alongside the video.

The unknown Peter Parker impersonator clearly brought a smile to the faces of the parents who have no doubt been doing their best to comfort their little ones in the horrifying situation that they’re facing.

Since Hurricane Harvey tore through the region, thousands of residents like these children have been forced to flee from their homes and take shelter wherever they can. According to CNN, all 53 Texas counties have issued emergency declarations, an area that's home to around 11.4 million people.
