September 26, 2017, marks 30 years since Star Trek: The Next Generation's pilot episode, "Encounter at Farpoint," first debuted. And whether or not you watched that first episode as it went out, TNG probably found its way into your heart eventually.
Maybe it was the Klingons you fell in love with. Maybe it was Data. Maybe you felt for Picard when he played the flute in "The Inner Light" or maybe you just wanted to feel him in "Chain of Command."
Regardless, after three decades, even the choosiest nerd kids agree: Star Trek: The Next Generation is great.
And to celebrate, while my producer and I were at Star Trek Las Vegas, we asked TNG fans why they love it so much, who their favorite characters are, and what episodes made them feel things.
It turned out pretty funny, I think. Star Trek fans brought their senses of humor and their skants to the Star Trek con this year. Please enjoy with a cup of Earl Grey, Number One. I'll be in my ready room.
