NBC is set to enter the virtual reality world with an upcoming TV series titled Reverie, and SYFY WIRE was on hand at New York Comic Con for a cool sit down interview with the very talented cast and crew.
"What's interesting about the show is that it's not something that's set 500 years in the future," said show star Sarah Shahi (Person of Interest), who plays former hostage negotiator and human behavior expert Mara Kint. "It's something that's very attainable and it's tomorrow, it’s today. It's less than five years in the future."
Show creator Mickey Fisher (Extant) and producer Tom Szentgyorgyi (The Mentalist) also discussed the 10-episode TV series, revealing that Reverie will be both serialized in that it will follow Kint and her experiences with the highly advanced virtual reality program, and feature more 'episodic' installments in that each episode will feature a different reverie, with the last one taking us to *SPOILER ALERT!* .... Mars!
Reverie also stars 24's Dennis Haysbert, Kathryn Morris, Jessica Lu and Sendhil Ramamurthy (Heroes, Beauty and the Beast). The series is slated to premiere in 2018 on NBC. Check out what these good folks had to say!
