The cast of Fox’s X-Men spinoff series The Gifted were on hand at New York Comic Con over the weekend where SYFY WIRE caught up with cast members Natalie Alyn Lind (Lauren Strucker), Percy Hynes White (Andy Strucker) and Emma Dumont (Lorna Dane/Polaris), who spilled the beans regarding their characters' mutant powers and more.
When asked who they thought had the coolest mutant powers on the show, Lind didn't have to look very far: it's her own TV brother. The actress believes White's character has the coolest powers on The Gifted, not only because of the awesome telekinesis thing he's got going on but also because we get to see his powers develop as he learns to control them.
As for Emma Dumont, whose character Polaris will deal with mental illness much like her comic book counterpart, the actress confirmed her character will indeed be Magneto's daughter: "Polaris' powers are metal manipulation. She's a metal bender, and she can control electromagnetic fields. She can stop bullets. She can fly, or levitate, as we say, and it's really cool because her father Magneto is known to be a very, very powerful mutant. And in The Gifted we get to see Polaris train and develop her powers into sort of a female Magneto."
Have a look!
The Gifted airs Mondays at 9PM on Fox.
