Can you imagine a life without Star Wars action figures? We can't, but then again, we probably should have gotten out more as a kid.
But seriously, the importance of the Star Wars toy line, especially those magnificent 3 3/4" molded plastic figures, to the franchise can't really be overstated. Which is why collectors are willing to spend an ungodly amount of time and money to track down the rarest examples.
Which leads us to the latest chapter in our tour of Rancho Obi-Wan, home of the greatest collection of Star Wars stuff in this or any other universe. Here Steve Sansweet shares with SYFY WIRE how he scored one of the absolute rarest Star Wars items, a carded vinyl-caped Jawa action figure. If you know anything about the value of that figure, the amount Sansweet almost didn't pay for that figure will make you cry.
Oh, but even the ultimate Star Wars collector has some regrets. There is one very special piece he missed out on, that we bet he would trade both rocket-firing Boba Fett prototype figures in his collection for ... and perhaps a whole lot more. What is it?
Hint: It's no moon.
