In a world that makes little sense for some people, the hero we need today seems to be DC Comic's Mister Miracle, as the revival series of this complex '70s costumed crusader enters its third printing and new fans find something within writer Tom King's (Batman) enveloping story to cheer about.
Created by Jack Kirby during his time over at DC Comics, Mister Miracle, aka Scott Free, is a cosmic being from New Genesis raised by Darkseid on Apokolips who is a master escape artist now on Earth.
King and artist Mitch Gerads (Sheriff of Babylon) reintroduce Kirby's Fourth World creation in this 12-issue series that debuted in August.
SYFY WIRE pinned down King at NYCC to debate and discuss the intense appeal of Mister Miracle in these confusing times, taking over the Dark Knight after Scott Snyder's celebrated run, Batman's one-minute fight against Reverse Flash in the Batman/The Flash: The Button graphic novel, and Bruce Wayne's unexpected engagement to Catwoman.
