Voltron: Legendary Defender is the roaring hit anime series on Netflix entering into its fourth fantastic season of giant connecting robots, fearless teen pilots, and awesome outer space action.
Fans were a bit miffed that last summer's Season 3 was only seven episodes long, but the creators are now trying to deliver more episodes to vocal Voltron acolytes and the upcoming chapters will actually be more like a split season, providing another six episodes. The first two rollouts of Voltron: Legendary Defender were full 13-episode arcs.
SYFY WIRE landed beside executive producers Lauren Montgomery and Joaquim Dos Santos to hear their thoughts on mapping out the new shortened season, growing and expanding the Voltron mythos beyond the five paladins, and more of their galactic crusade against the Golra Empire.
Voltron: Legendary Defender returns to Netflix on Friday, October 13.
